Banned/Limited/Errata Card Updates

Greetings, Dragon Ball Super Card Game fans.
On October 28, 2022, 2 banned cards, 1 limited card, and 5 errata cards will be added to the Banned/Limited/Errata Cards list.

Banned Cards

Reason:
The presence of BT8-110 SS4 Son Goku, A Heartfelt Plea has been monitored since it was first limited. Due to the higher power level of ZENKAI series cards making this card easier to play than ever before, we have decided to ban this card.

Reason:
The presence of DB3-015 King Piccolo, the New Ruler has been monitored since it was first limited. In order to increase diversity in deck building, we have decided to ban this card.

Limited Cards

Reason:
BT10-008 Yamcha, Merciless Barrage inhibits the power level of decks aiming to play many Battle Cards, including several strategies present in ZENKAI series. In order to allow those decks to be playable, we are limiting this card.

Errata Cards

Reason:
BT1-053 Senzu Bean has always been a powerful card in the Dragon Ball Super Card Game, but with the new interactions present in ZENKAI series, players are able to greatly extend their turn and play strength by switching energy to Active Mode on their turns. This change will allow BT1-053 to still be a very powerful defensive tool for Blue decks, while eliminating its offensive capabilities.

[Activate: Battle] Choose up to 1 of your cards. It gains +5000 power for the duration of the turn. Then, choose up to 2 of your energy and switch them to Active Mode.

Post-Errata Text:
[Activate: Battle] If it's your opponent's turn : Choose up to 1 of your cards. It gains +5000 power for the duration of the turn. Then, choose up to 2 of your energy and switch them to Active Mode.

Reason:
When BT11-030 was released, few strategies revolved around attacking with multiple battle cards of 20000 power or more in a turn. Since the release of ZENKAI series, BT11-030 disrupts several deck strategies and has proven more powerful than intended. This change will still allow Red deck players to stop the highest-power attack plays, but not interfere with all strategies.

[Counter : Attack] If your Leader Card is red : Negate the attack. You may choose 1 card in your hand and discard it. If you do, choose one—
・ Your opponent can't attack with Battle Cards with 20000 power or more for the turn.

Reason:
BT18-052 Beerus, the Visitor, as printed, allowed a player to draw many cards per turn with high consistency. This interaction was not intended, so we are issuing an errata to eliminate it.

Post-Errata Text:
[Activate : Main], if the name of your Leader's back side includes {Super Saiyan Blue Son Goku} and you place this card from your hand in your energy in Rest Mode : Draw 1 card.

Reason:
EX13-04 Vegeta, Resolve Renewed has become used in almost all Red decks in ZENKAI series. In order to promote deck-building diversity, we have decided to errata this card.

Pre-Errata Text:
[Counter : Play] If the Battle Card being played has 15000 power or less, it is placed in its owner’s Drop Area instead of being played, then play this card.

Post-Errata Text:
[Counter : Play] If your Leader Card is a 〈Vegito〉 card : If the Battle Card being played has 15000 power or less, it is placed in its owner’s Drop Area instead of being played, then play this card.

Reason:
P-177 Broly, Crown of Retribution has proven too powerful when played without paying its energy cost. We have decided to errata the card in order to balance it.

Pre-Errata Text:
[Auto] If your Leader Card is red : When you play this card from your hand, if your opponent has 2 or more energy in Active Mode, your opponent reveals their hand, and you choose up to 1 Battle Card from it with 20000 power or less and place it in your opponent's Drop Area.

Post-Errata Text:
[Permanent] This card can't be played by skills from any area.
[Auto] If your Leader Card is red : When you play this card from your hand, if your opponent has 2 or more energy in Active Mode, your opponent reveals their hand, and you choose up to 1 Battle Card from it with 20000 power or less and place it in your opponent's Drop Area.
