Banned/Errata Card Updates

Greetings, Dragon Ball Super Card Game fans.
On January 1, 2023, 3 banned cards and 1 errata card will be added to the Banned/Errata Cards list.

Banned Cards

Card number Card name
BT10-044 SS Trunks, God-Sealing Technique

Reason:
This card has continued an oppressive gameplay pattern against high-cost Battle Cards without [Deflect], and it's energy cost of 0 can easily stop major actions. In order to limit this card's effect on future card design, we have decided to ban this card.

Card number Card name
BT18-011 SS4 Son Goku, Digging Deep

Reason:
The strength and utility of this card has caused an overabundance of {BT18-991 Son Goku & Vegeta} decks in competitive play. In order to increase diversity in deck building, we have decided to ban this card.

Card number Card name
BT18-022 Haze Shenron, Gathering Evil

Reason:
The strength and utility of this card has caused an overabundance of {BT18-002 One-Star Ball} decks in competitive play. In order to increase diversity in deck building, we have decided to ban this card.

Errata Cards

Card number Card name
BT16-020 Son Goku/SSG Son Goku, Crimson Warrior

Reason:
This Leader's [Awaken] conditions has major advantages over other decks after obtaining power blue 《Saiyan》cards from BT19 and EX21. With powerful 《Saiyan》cards expected in upcoming sets, this card impedes future card design. In order to increase diversity in deck building, and limit this card's effect on future card design, we have decided to issue an errata for this card as follows.

FRONT

Pre-Errata Text:
[Awaken] When your life is at 2 or less or you place 5 《Saiyan》 cards under this card from your Drop Area : You may draw 3 cards, switch up to 1 of your energy to Active Mode, and flip this card over.

Post-Errata Text:
[Awaken] When your life is at 4 or less and you place 5 《Saiyan》 cards under this card from your Drop Area : You may draw 3 cards, switch up to 1 of your energy to Active Mode, and flip this card over.

These bans will also be enacted for the 2022 World Championship at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 in Las Vegas on March 4-5.

We hope you look forward to an exciting and fresh gameplay experience for the Dragon Ball Super Card Game in 2023.
